Maroon Bells Fall Wedding | Denver Wedding Photographer
I have been dying to share Jessica + Jason's picturesque Aspen wedding. You may have already seen it on Borrowed and Blue and Rocky Mountain Bride in the past few months, but I want to share how I saw the day.
When I first met with Jessica + Jason they were in the midst of planning a big wedding and a big party! I was ecstatic! Their wedding plans sounded amazing and I couldn't wait to document it. Fast forward a few months and Jessica called me to let me know that they had decided to scale down their wedding to something much smaller and much more intimate. They decided to have small, intimate ceremony at Maroon Bells in Aspen, CO followed by a family style dinner at the Caribou Club. I had never been to Aspen but jumped at the opportunity. I was not disappointed. Not only was this wedding absolutely breathtaking, but it also showed me where my heart lies. Mountain weddings. I can't wait to shoot more of them!
My amazing friend, Cassie with Cassandra Pershing Photography flew in from Indiana to second shoot with me and I am so grateful that she made the trip!
Here are my favorites from adventuring around the Aspen area.
Oh, the details! I love details! The details from Jessica + Jason's day were nothing short of amazing.
I fell in love with Hotel Jerome's bathroom. The lighting was actually pretty and that mirror!
Jason and his groomsmen got ready at The Sky Hotel. It was a great manly hotel for the guys.
Jessica + Jason opted to not see each other before the ceremony. They did, however, decide to talk to one another. I loved this idea. We found a little spot to tuck Jason away and then brought Jessica in on the other side of the door. It was a pretty amazing moment. Both of them instantly calmed. It was a very emotional part of the day and I feel so honored to have been a part of it.
Jessica + Jason's day was such a labor of love. Everything was set up by those closest to the couple and just minutes before the ceremony took place. I can't imagine it being more beautiful. On top of that, Jessica + Jason put in so much thought behind all of the details.
Somehow the rain held out long enough for Jessica and Jason to get married in what of the most beautiful places I have ever been, Maroon Bells.
Their ceremony was beautiful, personal and full of so much love.
My most favorite part of any wedding day is photographing the bride and groom and this wedding was no different. I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful setting to photography Jessica + Jason.
Unposed moments like this make me love my job even more. Jason was warming up Jess and the emotion and love are obvious.
The reception took place at the Caribou Club. The amazing DIY details continued into their intimate family style reception.
Guests enjoyed a photo booth and dancing following dinner.
A sparkler send-off in Caribou Alley was the perfect end to Jessica + Jason's picturesque day.
